of Position

The Warehouse Lead Hand, is responsible for coordinating and prioritizing tasks for the warehouse team, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. As a hands-on leader, you'll be responsible for training and supervising warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, and implementing safety protocols. Your ability to organize workflows, optimize space utilization, and communicate effectively with team members will contribute to the smooth functioning of the warehouse, fostering a productive and safe work environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prioritize daily warehouse operations.
  • Oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Train, supervise, and provide guidance to warehouse staff.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular checks and documentation.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices.
  • Optimize space utilization within the warehouse.
  • Organize workflows to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to promote a collaborative work environment.
  • Address and resolve issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the overall productivity and efficiency of the warehouse.

Qualifications

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Proficient keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Traits

  • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Able to work independently with little supervision.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse/manufacturing setting
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Forklift operator certification/certifiable
