Job Description
We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. You’ll play a key role in coordinating shipping, receiving, picking, and other warehouse priorities while serving as a primary point of contact for your assigned team and work area.

What You'll Do
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking for shipments
- Load and unload products from trucks, trailers, containers, docks, and storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Break down, separate, and receive incoming shipments
- Accurately check received materials against expected shipments and quantities
- Move products to storage areas using proper equipment and safely stack and store raw materials
- Maintain inventory control by determining product availability, completing cycle counts and regular inventory counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Prepare products by separating materials and marking products with identifying information
- Put products away while tracking lots and expiration dates and maintaining efficient storage
- Pick and stage materials based on production needs and ensure required materials are available for production
- Work cross-departmentally with production, sanitation, maintenance, and other departments to support operational needs
- Set the tone and establish a culture of respect, hard work, consistency, teamwork, and effective communication within and outside of the department
- Direct the team, provide guidance, and maneuver staff to make the team as efficient as possible
- Observe and assist with loading and unloading products from trailers, docks, and storage areas
- Sort, stack, shelve, pack, wrap, tie, and label products according to company procedures while maintaining organized inventory, particularly during peak demand
- Transport items from the warehouse or freezer to various departments or the dock as needed
- Ensure products are stored in their proper locations and enforce FIFO practices with team members, particularly for dairy products
- Ensure team members exercise extreme care and follow safety procedures when operating forklifts in populated areas
- Use computer systems to enter data into the inventory control management system and assist with preparing inventory-related reports and documents
- Maintain hands-on involvement with the EATEC ERP system, including overseeing and executing proper inventory movements, counts, transfers, and MA processes
- Monitor team overtime, schedules, breaks, lunches, and work hours and help improve deficiencies and areas of concern
- Maintain effective communication across the required communication channels during work hours
- Follow company standards and applicable legal regulations to maintain a safe and positive working environment
- Follow and promote proper GMPs when working within food production areas or handling food products
- Correct or report food safety issues as required
- Follow all required safe work and food safety practices
- Ensure pallets are properly stacked and securely wrapped, forklifts are operated with seat belts, and team members wear required PPE in designated areas
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment by regularly removing empty pallets, wood, and plastic
- Be responsive to operational needs and provide effective communication across different media channels during work hours
- Handle special projects and complete assigned projects with minimal supervision
- Fill in for special roles or tasks left behind by the Supervisor, Manager, and/or Director
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of GMPs
- Minimum of 1 year of experience using ERP systems
- Minimum of 1 year of experience using forklifts and electric pallet jacks, with an emphasis on cold/wet working environments, or equivalent experience of at least 2 years using forklifts and electric pallet jacks in a dry working environment or warehouse
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or food production environment; food production preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience completing inventory counts, administrative tasks, or data entry
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and physically perform the requirements of the position
- Mobility required to work at all levels of the building
- Ability to safely control moving equipment at all times
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience using ERP systems
- 3+ years of experience using forklifts and electric pallet jacks, with an emphasis on cold/wet working environments, or equivalent experience of at least 2 years using forklifts and electric pallet jacks in a dry working environment or warehouse
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or food production environment; food production preferred
- 3+ years of experience completing inventory counts, administrative tasks, or data entry
- OSHA experience
- Prior experience leading or supervising a team
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a time-sensitive environment with a good demeanor
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a factory setting, including chilled areas, docks, and occasionally within freezer areas
- Routinely exposed to wet, damp, and cold conditions
- Cold storage temperatures may range from -15°F to 55°F for extended periods
- All required PPE is provided
- Prolonged standing and walking are routinely required
- May occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Routinely required to stand, walk, bend, carry, crouch, grasp, hold, kneel, lift, push/pull, reach, sit, squat, stand, stoop, stretch, turn, twist, talk, listen, and communicate with others
- Ability to work in cold storage warehouse environments for extended periods is required
Shift & Hours
- Flexible schedule required, including varied shifts, weekend work, and overtime as needed based on operational requirements
