Warehouse Lead

Location: St. Louis, MO
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. This hands-on leadership role oversees staffing, production processes, and work therapy assignments within assigned commodities departments. You'll ensure operational excellence while supporting our rehabilitation program's mission through meaningful work experience.

What You’ll Do

Production Leadership

• Oversee staff and production processes in assigned departments
• Manage commodity evaluation and packing operations
• Ensure quality control for cleaning, pricing, and shipping prep
• Monitor and record production goals
• Support efficient workflow processes

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce OSHA safety guidelines
• Ensure proper use of PPE equipment
• Monitor workplace safety conditions
• Report safety concerns promptly
• Maintain clean and organized environment
• Follow all TSA policies and procedures

Administrative Duties

• Track production metrics
• Report incidents and concerns
• Maintain accurate records
• Communicate effectively with leadership
• Support departmental goals
• Monitor efficiency and quality

Qualifications

What You Need

Required

Required Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Combination of education and relevant experience
• Valid driver's license with TSA vehicle qualification
• Warehouse operations experience preferred

• Microsoft Office proficiency

• Basic computer literacy
• Strong Excel skills a plus
