GENERAL PURPOSE
Provide day-to-day team leadership to warehouse/cooler team members. Perform accurate and efficient movement of product and inventory throughout the warehouse and cooler environment to meet and exceed operational goals, internal standards and customer needs. Demonstrate mastery of all job functions in the warehousing area/department.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Communicate the daily schedule at start of shift with the warehouse/cooler team, detailing the workload requirements of the day and delegating/participating to successfully accomplish the daily tasks
· Proactively communicate warehouse issues, including those involving deficiencies, to warehouse supervision; look for continuous improvement/process improvement opportunities
· Possess a complete knowledge of all warehouse and shipping and receiving documents, accurately completing all necessary paper and electronic forms in a timely manner
· Consistently meet or exceed production demands and needs by moving product accurately and efficiently
· Maintain organization, rotation of stock, and neatness of all coolers and warehouse
· Monitor KPI's and make daily operational adjustments as needed; ensure effective utilization of labor
· Ensure that incoming and outgoing orders are verified against vendor’s invoices, bills of lading, customer orders, and similar documentation
· Assist in the training and development of warehouse/cooler employees, including certifying employees on equipment as needed
· Perform daily, monthly, and end-of-year inventories; perform or assist with audits
· Assess staffing and materials to ensure supplies are adequate
· Ensure proper maintenance of the warehouse facilities, equipment, and supplies; recommend equipment requirements and replacements to supervisor to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency
· Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
· Follow all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 4 years of warehouse, distribution, production, or related experience coupled with demonstrated leadership attributes or team lead experience
· Certification and/or License – may require forklift, walk behind jack, or other related work certifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
· Able to promote a team environment and contribute to the overall success of the warehouse/cooler team
· Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills)
· Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
· Able to problem solve, multi-task and prioritize work activities
· Able to carry out instructions
· Able to perform accurate basic math computations and inventory counts
· Able to adapt to changing situations
· Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail
· Must be able to read, write and speak English
