The Warehouse Lead supports and delivers on the California Closets Brand Experience and is a key element in creating a healthy and cohesive work environment. The Warehouse Lead is responsible for acting as a coach/leader of warehouse associates and lead by example to inspire team mates to fulfill their individual daily tasks in addition to their own. The lead may have various responsibilities based on the specific department, this can include, but is not limited to shipping/receiving, packaging, inventory control, general warehouse functions or material handling operators (i.e. forklift operators). The lead will provide backup to the supervisor as needed.

  • We're located on 4815 Executive Park Court Suite 105 Jacksonville, FL. 32216
  • The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 6:30am-4:30pm with flexibility needed.
  • The pay rate for this position is $23-$28 DOE.
  • Some locations require a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Responsible for tracking and analysis on all ongoing project in coordination with Warehouse Manager, delegate tasks/share results with team
  • Receiving and staging all materials for customer jobs at company-owned locations.
  • Ensure appropriate procedures and standards are established and followed
  • Examine materials to verify specifications required and stock materials in designated areas of the warehouse
  • Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conduct Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and annual recertification training
  • Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution such as clamp/slip sheet equipment; load, unload, and store materials/products in designated areas
  • Ensure product material handling procedures are followed, model and train PPE Best Practices for team
  • Serve as backup to other warehouse roles, as needed

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3-4 years of team leadership experience, preferably in a warehouse environment
  • Experience in supporting supply chain demands
  • Hi-lo/ Forklift license
