We are seeking a Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory organization, and verification of outbound shipments. This role is hands-on and operational, with added responsibility for coordinating workflow, maintaining standards, and supporting warehouse staff.
The Warehouse Lead plays a key role in ensuring orders are picked accurately, inventory is organized and traceable, and incoming and outgoing materials move efficiently and safely.
· Receive inbound shipments, verify quantities and condition against packing slips and purchase orders
· Accurately record received materials in the inventory system
· Prepare outbound shipments for delivery or customer pickup
· Coordinate with drivers and internal staff to ensure timely shipments
· Verify orders before shipment to ensure correct items, quantities, and documentation
· Assist with staging orders for delivery routes or customer pickup
· Maintain organized warehouse layout to support efficiency and safety
· Label, store, and rotate stock appropriately
· Assist with cycle counts and full inventory counts
· Identify discrepancies, damages, or shortages and report them promptly
· Act as a working lead by setting expectations and leading by example
· Assist in training new warehouse staff on processes, equipment, and safety
· Help prioritize daily tasks and workflow
· Support a clean, safe, and professional warehouse environment
· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely
· Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
· Proactively identify safety risks and communicate concerns
· 2+ years of warehouse or distribution experience (building materials preferred)
· Experience with shipping, receiving, order picking, and inventory management
· Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
· Strong attention to detail and organization
· Basic computer skills (ERP, inventory, or shipping systems)
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Previous lead, senior, or supervisory warehouse experience
· Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
· Experience with industrial or commercial building products
· Familiarity with inventory systems and barcoding
