Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on and motivated Warehouse Lead to oversee and drive daily warehouse operations. This role is ideal for someone who leads from the front, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about operational efficiency and team performance.

About the Role

As the Warehouse Lead, you will take ownership of the warehouse floor, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across order fulfilment, stock movement, and inventory control. You will play a key role in maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and supporting a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities across all functions
  • Allocate labour effectively across key priorities:
  • Online order fulfilment
  • Retail stock replenishment
  • Receiving and inbound processing
  • Put-away and storage optimisation
  • Act as the first point of contact for operational issues and problem-solving
  • Drive team productivity and ensure daily targets are achieved
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency

Inventory Control

  • Maintain high levels of stock accuracy across all systems
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and investigate discrepancies
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of returns, particularly for e-commerce orders
  • Monitor and improve inventory processes and controls

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a warehouse leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse operations
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on leadership style with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and team coordination skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Requirements

  • Valid Forklift Licence (LF) – essential
  • Order Picker Licence (LO) or willingness to obtain
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) practices
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling (up to 20–25kg)
  • Ability to meet performance targets and KPIs
  • Basic computer skills (e.g. Excel, email, reporting tools)
  • Experience in e-commerce fulfilment (highly regarded)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Full working rights in Australia
