Lead daily warehouse and cooler operations by providing direction, support, and oversight to warehouse team members. Coordinate the efficient movement, storage, and handling of products and inventory to meet operational objectives, quality standards, and customer requirements. Perform and support all warehousing functions, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and product rotation. Demonstrate expertise in warehouse processes and serve as a resource for training, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain compliance with safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while supporting an organized and productive work environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate daily workload priorities, production requirements, and schedules to warehouse employees at the start of each shift; assign and participate in daily activities to achieve operational objectives
  • Communicate warehouse operational issues, deficiencies, and improvement opportunities to warehouse leadership and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Complete and maintain warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, and other operational documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Meet production, shipping, and inventory demands by moving, storing, and handling product accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain organization, product rotation, inventory accuracy, housekeeping, and space utilization throughout warehouse and cooler areas
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and labor utilization; make daily operational adjustments to support productivity and efficiency goals
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against vendor invoices, bills of lading, customer orders, and related documentation to maintain inventory and shipment accuracy
  • Train, develop, and support warehouse and cooler employees, including providing operational guidance and equipment certification as required
  • Conduct daily, monthly, and annual inventories and assist with audits to maintain accurate inventory records and regulatory compliance
  • Assess staffing, material, equipment, and supply needs to support operational requirements and maintain productivity
  • Monitor warehouse facilities, equipment, and supplies; recommend equipment purchases, upgrades, repairs, and replacements to support safe and efficient operations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all DFA GMPs and corporate, regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements; communicate quality concerns to Quality Assurance personnel

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4 years of warehouse, distribution, production, or related experience coupled with demonstrated leadership attributes or team lead experience
  • Certification and/or License – may require forklift, walk behind jack, or other related work certifications

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
  • Able to promote a team environment and contribute to the overall success of the warehouse/cooler team
  • Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills)
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to problem solve, multi-task and prioritize work activities
  • Able to carry out instructions
  • Able to perform accurate basic math computations and inventory counts
  • Able to adapt to changing situations
  • Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
