Each team member plays a vital role in our success. We are rapidly expanding and looking for a professional, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Warehouse Inbound Manager.

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Inbound Manager reports directly to the Warehouse Operations Manager and will be responsible for all the inbound activity within the warehouse. He/she will manage 4-5 direct reports and oversee 40-50 team members.

To succeed as a Warehouse In-bound Manager you must be able to maintain a high level of productivity, efficiency and culture of customer service within the outbound departments of the warehouse.

  • Receive, analyze and react to daily status reports across all inbound distribution center functional areas.
  • Review departmental and individual metrics to identify and improve performance.
  • Adjust, analyze and audit processes seeking increases in both efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure receiving processes are being carried out efficiently and accurately.
  • Oversee purchase order reconciliation and analyze causes for receiving overages and shortages.
  • Work with purchasing to develop and implement procedures for unloading orders from vendors and stocking them on our shelves.
  • Ensure trucks/trailers are efficiently and accurately unloaded to support the efficient movement of goods and materials to their destinations to fulfill commitment to our customers and support sales objectives.
  • Ensure dock to stock for most lines within 72 hours.
  • Formulate and enforce stocking goals for each area/zone of the warehouse.
  • Ensure that inventory is accurately stocked, in a timely fashion, to fulfill our customer’s needs.

Staff Management:

  • Lead and supervise a team of departmental supervisors.
  • Adjust staffing across multi-functional platforms when timelines are in jeopardy and plan staffing/workflow according to dynamic market changes.

Oversee Inbound Operations:

  • Review and maintain departmental budgets, control operating expenses and project future expenditures based on fluctuations in activity (as necessary).
  • Maintain a meticulous standard for cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the warehouse.
  • Maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that safety and compliance practices meet DOT and OSHA standards
  • Maintain 5S warehouse principles are administered and followed on a routine basis
  • Frequently communicate with warehouse and executive level management.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Expertise in supply chain, logistics, and high volume, time sensitive distribution required
  • Demonstrated management and team building experience
  • Experience with WMS/ inventory management system, RF technology and conveyor technology
  • Experience in internet e-fulfillment is a plus
  • Must possess ability to multi-task and adjust to dynamic order flow fluctuations as needed
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to identify areas drifting behind in production and proactively take action to get back on track
  • Experience in tracking metrics, including key performance indicators such as inbound/outbound productivity.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts preferred
  • HS diploma required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Clean/ valid driver’s license preferred
  • Forklift, Hazmat and OSHA Certifications preferred, required upon hire
  • Ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, stand/ walk for up to 10 hours, able to squat, bend and reach, able to climb and descend stairs safely (applies to locations with stairs)
  • Ability to work powered equipment (forklift, cherry picker etc)
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety
  • Securing and transferring cash or other assets.
