Job Description

As a Warehouse Handler, you will support day-to-day warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment, ensuring the accurate flow of materials from receiving through shipping. You will be responsible for material receiving, putaway, picking, kitting, inventory control, shipping support, and maintaining warehouse accuracy, safety, and housekeeping standards. You will work closely with the Warehouse and Supply Chain team to support production and operational requirements.

You will report to Warehouse Team Lead.

You will work in Onsite work mode based in our Chennai plant in Kancheepuram, India.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day warehouse activities including Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Kitting, Inventory Control, and Shipping.
  • Support material receiving activities including physical verification, quantity checking, QR/GRN posting, and receiving status monitoring.
  • Perform accurate material putaway and ensure proper bin and location management.
  • Pick materials as per production plans, pick lists, and warehouse requirements while supporting kitting activities and monitoring Plan vs. Actual material availability.
  • Identify and report material shortages, discrepancies, and potential production line-stop issues.
  • Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy improvement activities.
  • Maintain correct Part Number, Quantity, and Location accuracy during material movements.
  • Support finished goods staging, picking, and dispatch activities.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as VNA / Reach Truck where trained and authorized.
  • Update SAP/WMS transactions and maintain required warehouse records and checklists.
  • Support warehouse KPI data collection and daily operational reporting.
  • Maintain 5S, housekeeping, safety, and material handling standards within the warehouse.
  • Follow company SOPs, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.

The Essentials – You Will Have

  • ITI, Diploma, or Any Graduate qualification with relevant warehouse or logistics experience.
  • 0–2 years of experience in Warehouse, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain operations.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse and inventory operations.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Basic computer knowledge and MS Excel skills.
  • Safety-conscious approach to material handling and warehouse operations.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and a manufacturing environment.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have

  • Basic understanding of SAP/WMS transactions.
  • Supporting material receiving, putaway, picking, kitting, inventory control, and shipping activities.
  • Operating warehouse equipment such as VNA or Reach Truck (where trained and authorized).
  • Supporting cycle counting and inventory accuracy improvement initiatives.
