Job Description

Warehouse general workers execute the daily physical warehouse activities, receiving, picking, staging, loading, and housekeeping, and perform physical stock counts as directed. Rotate across tasks and, where licensed, forklift operation, to keep both teams flexible.

WHAT THE JOB ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE

• Receive deliveries: offload, check against purchase order/delivery note, report discrepancies immediately.
• Pick store orders accurately against pick slips within allocated time windows.
• Stage picked orders correctly for dispatch, matching to the correct route/store.
• Load outbound deliveries safely and accurately, checking against dispatch documentation.
• Perform physical counts during weekly cycle counts and monthly stocktakes as directed by the Supervisor.
• Complete daily housekeeping tasks: clear aisles, segregate damaged stock, basic forklift checks (if licensed).
• Report damages, safety hazards, and stock discrepancies to the Supervisor immediately.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Basic literacy and numeracy for pick slips and documentation.
• Physically able to perform manual handling tasks safely.
• A forklift licence is an advantage.
