Job Description

A rapidly growing fresh produce company seeks an experienced Warehouse Facility Manager to lead operations at its South Florida location. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory management, ensuring quality standards met, repacking product, leading and supervising a small but growing warehouse team.

The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, brings a strong background in fresh produce operations and repack, exceptional organizational and leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Position is an onsite role based in the Miami, Florida area.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the warehouse facility and packing line, ensure efficient workflow and adhere to safety standards.
  • Lead and motivate a team of warehouse and packing staff, providing guidance and support to maximize productivity.
  • Planning, coordination, and execution of internal audits/inspections.
  • Identify and document best practices, ideas, and information relevant to packing house systems.
  • Identify, document and report any problems related to the process, inventory, and order fulfillment.
  • Track and interpret statistical data relating to inventory; recommend changes in standards, processes, equipment and materials to facilitate work and maintain efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver relative training for all employees, emphasizing best practices and fostering a culture of awareness and accountability.
  • Develop and implement effective incident response protocols to address fulfillment errors promptly and efficiently.
  • Interact with supervisors to determine and resolve issues quickly.
  • Perform product and process inspections to ensure consistent efficiency.
  • Report to Company Management regularly regarding the functionality of the department.
  • Plan and participate in team trainings/ meetings and follow up with staff as needed.
  • Monitor order processing to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Coordinate with sales and customer service to understand order requirements and communicate any changes or delays.
  • Ensure that all available products are accurately accounted for and prepared for shipment.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
  • Continuously Identify areas for improvement in packing and shipping processes, proposing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Address any quality issues promptly.
  • Prepare regular reports on facility performance, including productivity metrics and order fulfillment rates.
  • Communicate effectively with upper management regarding operational challenges and successes.
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skill, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in supply chain management or five+ years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • In-depth knowledge of order fulfillment in the food production industry preferably with a focus on fresh produce or microgreens.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organized detail oriented
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines

The base salary the company may reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $70,000-$90,000. The actual salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills and experience. The pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits the position may be eligible for based on the role and/or employment type.
