Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver materials, components, and production orders from the warehouse to the appropriate work centers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse personnel to prioritize material deliveries based on production schedules and business needs.
  • Track and document material transactions and movement between warehouse and production areas.
  • Work with others as necessary to ensure prompt processing and movement of warehouse parts to their next location.
  • Responsible for stocking items on the shelf ensuring they are properly marked with correct part number and rotated as necessary.
  • Assist in identifying material discrepancies, and inventory issues that could impact production schedules.
  • Pull parts as assigned and document all material transactions.
  • Direct all Shipping, Receiving and Inventory issues to your supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for daily accurate cycle counts of on-hand quantities.
  • Responsible for operating machinery in a safe manner and reporting any equipment maintenance or problems to your immediate supervisor.
  • Offload deliveries, confirming the packing list and MTRs against the product received. Load outgoing shipments and ensure proper shipping documentation.
  • Responsible for keeping all inventory areas clean and orderly.
  • Responsible for stocking all items into the warehouse after Quality Control has inspected and returned.
  • Must be self-motivated, maintain a productive environment.
  • Must be able to work extra hours daily and on weekends as required.
  • Must follow and enforce all safety and environmental policies and programs; must be able to use personal safety devices as required by company policy; report any activities that could be detrimental to safety and/or the loss of productivity; report any injuries when they occur.
  • Must be able to resolve problems through collaboration and sharing with their teammates.
  • Must be willing to be cross train and to train others to perform the job that is required to get the work done.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving when required.
  • Interface professionally with multiple departments: Sales, Service, Shipping, Receiving, QA, Inspection, Purchasing, & Planning.
  • Securing the warehouse from loss by: Challenging unauthorized personnel upon entry as to their needs and reporting any theft, loss, or missing items to the supervisor immediately.
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of operating systems related to Inventory, Shipping and Material Handling functions.
  • Take ownership, organize, and maintain personal, company equipment and work area in a professional manner and attend scheduled HSE training.
  • Operate material handling equipment as required, achieve, and maintain fork truck operator certification and use safe working practices as directed.
  • Responsible for following all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures, and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes and HSE requirements.
  • Maintain warehouse supplies and submits requisitions to Inventory Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be capable of repeated bending, stooping, and squatting; and standing for prolonged periods
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Strong and professional interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to communicate in a professional manner.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and procedures.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Warehouse and pack out practices.
  • Must be capable of learning to read and understand production blueprints and routers.
  • Must be capable of working in a non-air-conditioned warehouse environment with PPE.
  • Must be capable of operating company fork trucks and capable of achieving and maintaining certification for such equipment
