What You’ll Be Doing

We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Dispatch Team Leader to lead our afternoon shift operations based in Revesby. This role is responsible for coordinating daily dispatch activities, leading a team, and ensuring the safe, efficient loading of outbound deliveries.

This is a full-time, permanent position operating on a set afternoon shift, with flexibility for overtime where required. Hours of work are Monday - Thursday 1.30pm-10.30pm and Friday 12pm - 6pm.

This role operates within an established, long-tenured warehouse team and involves handling heavy, non-standard freight using cranes in a safety-critical environment. It offers the opportunity to introduce improved processes and new ways of working while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of 5–6 warehouse staff, driving performance, accountability and engagement
  • Coordinate daily dispatch and oversee loading of up to five trucks, ensuring accurate sequencing and on-time delivery
  • Allocate tasks and manage workflow across picking, loading and general warehouse operations
  • Oversee inventory activities including stock counts, replenishment and general housekeeping
  • Enforce safety standards across all activities, including crane operations and safe equipment use
  • Lead as a hands-on operator, influencing a long-tenured team and driving continuous improvement

What We’re Looking for

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A strong communicator and influencer
  • Comfortable leading experienced team members and driving behavioural change
  • Hands-on and operationally focused
  • Safety-driven with a proactive mindset
  • Open-minded and capable of implementing improvements

Essential

  • Proven experience in warehouse dispatch / loading operations
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Strong understanding of truck loading processes and dispatch planning
  • Forklift licence (essential)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence others

Desirable

  • Crane experience or willingness to be trained (training available)
  • Experience handling non-palletised or ‘ugly freight’ (e.g. large or irregular items)
  • Exposure to RF scanning systems or warehouse system improvements
  • First Aid certification
