Responsibilities & Duties
Accurately pick and pack customer orders for daily fulfillment requirements.
Load and unload delivery vehicles utilizing a forklift, pallet jack, and lift gate.
Drive to the delivery destination, confirm the order with the customer, unload and verify the product, and obtain confirmation signature and payment from the customer.
Manage individual delivery routes by prioritizing customer needs.
Maintains customer relationships by providing superior customer service at all times.
Operates a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
Perform routine inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure DOT safety compliance.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety.
Keep trucks clean, safe, and in good condition.
Effectively cross-train to assist in other warehouse departments and functions as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Our Ideal Candidate
Has a clean driving record.
Possesses or can obtain a TWIC Card for access to Port Area.
Ability to pass a DOT Physical Exam, Background Check and Drug Screen.
Familiar with customer service.
Proficient with forklift and other order picking equipment.
Team-orientated mindset and strong work ethic.
General knowledge of the Port areas as well as surrounding suburbs.
Maintains excellent attendance history.
Can perform basic mathematics (adding, subtracting, division, and multiplication)
Understands how to read a ruler or tape measurer.
Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
Valid Driver’s License (classification requirements vary per state laws)
2 Years of Commercial Driving experience preferred
Prior Warehouse experience preferred
Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations
Must be Bilingual (Spanish/ English)
