Department: Warehouse

Pay rate : $25.57/hr

Shift: Mon to Fri 7 am to 3 pm ( May move to continental 7 am to 7 pm in future 2-2-3 schedule)

POSITION SUMMARY

Polytainers is looking for a detail-oriented Warehouse Cycle Counter to support inventory accuracy within our warehouse operations. This position is responsible for performing regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, maintaining accurate inventory records, and working closely with Warehouse, Production, Planning and other internal teams to resolve inventory issues.

The ideal candidate has previous experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, understands inventory control processes, and is comfortable working with computerized inventory systems. Previous SAP experience is preferred.

POSITION RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Perform daily and scheduled cycle counts of raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials and other inventory.
  • Compare physical inventory counts against system quantities and identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate inventory variances and assist in determining root causes.
  • Complete inventory adjustments and transactions accurately within the inventory management system.
  • Maintain accurate inventory locations and ensure materials are properly identified and stored.
  • Work closely with Warehouse, Production, Planning and Supply Chain teams to resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Review inventory movements and transactions to identify potential errors.
  • Support physical inventory counts and inventory audits as required.
  • Assist with improving inventory accuracy and reducing recurring discrepancies.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Follow established warehouse procedures, safety requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment.
  • Perform other warehouse and inventory-related duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Educational Requirements: High School Diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Minimum Experience/Field: 3–4 years of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse operations or a similar inventory-focused role.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment strongly preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred, particularly with inventory transactions, material movements, cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control practices and warehouse processes.
  • Experience investigating inventory discrepancies and identifying root causes.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and inventory/ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Warehouse, Production, Planning and Supply Chain teams.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize daily cycle-counting activities.
  • Forklift/material-handling equipment experience is an asset.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, drivers, and internal departments.
