What you will do:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Manufacturing Engineering Department for a Warehouse and Crane Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical). This is a key leadership role responsible for the reliability, maintenance, and development of the site's overhead crane assets and associated warehouse equipment. The successful candidate will lead the Crane Maintenance Team, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, equipment reliability, and cost-effective maintenance performance. The role offers the opportunity to influence engineering strategy, manage budgets, support capital investment projects, and contribute to the long-term modernisation of critical plant assets
Key Responsibilities
What you will need:
Essential
· Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
· HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification.
· Strong knowledge of overhead crane maintenance and associated lifting equipment.
· Demonstrable experience in either mechanical or electrical engineering maintenance.
· Understanding of preventive maintenance principles and asset management processes.
· Experience using SAP or a similar Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
· Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
· Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Desirable
· Knowledge of Shotton Works processes and overhead crane installations.
· Experience managing engineering budgets and maintenance contracts.
· Experience leading engineering improvement or capital projects.
· Familiarity with risk management and reliability-centred maintenance techniques.
