The duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse Counter include but are not limited to the following: Assist maintenance and production teams by locating and issuing parts; Operate forklift and overhead crane to retrieve and put away inventory; Repackage items in appropriate manner for storage; Utilize software to document inventory movement; Perform regular counts of inventory for accuracy. This position requires working rotating shifts as well as scheduled and unscheduled overtime.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Experience in a distribution, manufacturing or industrial warehouse
• Experience with an inventory management software program
• Forklift Certification or OSHA approved forklift safety training
• Experience loading and unloading, receiving and organizing stock
• Remote operated overhead crane experience
• Experience with Oracle ERP software
• Inventory Specialist (CIS) Certification
• Experience with Mechanical and Electrical Part Identification and Nomenclature
