Warehouse Coordinator

YOUR TASKS

Coordinate and oversee all warehouse logistics. Supervise and direct warehouse staff; put worker safety as a priority. Ensure that all items are properly numbered and tagged. Dispose of unserviceable or damaged items in accordance with company policies. Ensure warehouse space is utilized efficiently and kept clean and safe. Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling orders, packing boxes and transporting packages. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy. Schedule warehouse team members to meet the demands of the facility. Allocate workload and supervise staff. Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways. Define and coordinate the execution of the warehouse strategy, in line with the company's policy. Execute all warehouse operations such as inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping. Coordinate with other departments (such as Quality Assurance, Sales etc.) to ensure efficiency. Managing warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision. Implement safety norms and security measures in the warehouse. Report any discrepancies in inventory records to warehouse supervisory staff.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required. Proven experience in warehouse operations and logistics is required. Working knowledge of inventory management software. Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff. Proficient in standard logistics software. Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects. Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases. Leadership skills and ability manage staff. Ability to lift heavy objects, and stand or walk for extended periods of time. Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to comfortably operate and use warehouse machinery like forklifts, pallet jacks etc. Training in Occupational Health and Safety, hazardous materials, or related field would be a plus.
