Chemelex is a global leader in electric thermal and sensing solutions, protecting the world’s critical processes, places and people. With over 50 years of innovation and a commitment to excellence, we develop solutions that ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency in diverse environments – from industrial plants and data centers to people’s homes. We deliver future-ready technologies, advanced engineering capabilities and local expertise backed by global standards. Our offering includes a leading portfolio from our trusted brands: Raychem, Tracer, Nuheat and Pyrotenax.
The Warehouse Coordinator 2 is a hands-on role focused on the daily execution of warehouse operations. This position takes on more ownership of inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving documentation, and SAP transactions than an entry-level coordinator, playing a key part in keeping day-to-day warehouse operations accurate, organized, and running smoothly. The role is not built around one specific task — the right person will move comfortably between equipment operation, order fulfillment, and material support as the day's priorities shift.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate and perform daily receiving, picking, packing, and shipping activities to ensure accurate, on-time order fulfillment.
• Safely operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, order picker) to move, stage, and store inventory.
• Prepare domestic and international shipping documentation (bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels) and coordinate carrier pickups.
• Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage; document Overages, Shortages & Damages (OS&D) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), escalating for corrective action as needed.
• Maintain warehouse layout, bin locations, and storage organization to optimize space utilization and product flow.
• Perform monthly cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies for review and resolution.
• Maintain bills of material (BOM) for different projects through SAP and prepare outbound deliveries based on the requirement of different BOM’s.
• Help with light facilities upkeep and minor maintenance tasks around the building as needed.
• Support basic tool crib activities, such as issuing, tracking, and organizing tools and equipment.
• Process warehouse transactions (good receipts, transfers, put-a-ways, picks, shipments) accurately and on time using SAP.
• Run and review basic SAP reports to monitor inventory levels, aging stock, backorders, and order status.
• Follow and help enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols across daily warehouse activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas to streamline workflows and reduce errors.
• Collaborate with material management, sales, and customer service teams to resolve routine warehouse inquiries and support smooth workflow.
• Proactively communicate operational issues, backlogs, or escalations to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful team culture grounded in honesty, accountability, growth, and open communication.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics support role.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or coursework in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is an asset.
• Prior exposure to inventory or warehouse systems (SAP or similar ERP) preferred; willingness and aptitude to learn SAP required.
• Solid working knowledge of core warehouse functions: receiving, put-a-way, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Working proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook); comfortable learning new software systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both transactional (SAP) and physical inventory work.
• Good organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to guide or train peers.
• Basic understanding of shipping/receiving documentation; familiarity with OS&D or NCR processes is an asset but not required.
• Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and to stand, walk, bend, and operate equipment for extended periods in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures.
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime, weekends, or shifts based on operational and seasonal needs.
