The Warehouse and Fleet Coordinator assists with general warehouse duties, fleet coordination and assistance, receiving inspection, shipping, performs light maintenance, delivers and picks up materials, maintains stocking inventory in warehouse and show room, stocks beverages and snacks in show room and warehouse, performs routine filter maintenance and keeps up general appearance of exterior of all buildings and lots. Interacts with operations personnel and management from all departments on a regular basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  
50% Maintenance and general warehouse activities

  • Maintain grounds around all buildings, sidewalks and lots at BCS.
  • Stocks beverages and snacks in both refrigerators at BCS Parts.
  • When closing, close and lock all internal and external gates and doors, set alarm if last one out, park forklift and turn gas valve off.
  • Pull parts for outgoing tickets and stage for shipment.
  • Assists in maintaining warehouse and show room inventory at established levels.
  • Assists with incoming inspection of parts and receiving.
  • Assists with outgoing parcel and LTL shipments.
  • Promptly executes shipping and receiving daily.
  • Assigns material to appropriate job in project staging area.
  • Coordinates materials for project managers and parts business to assure timely delivery.
  • Assists in maintaining warehouse inventory at established levels.
  • Follows pre-determined schedule for inventory counts and reports any discrepancies.
  • Assists with parts returns to stock and factory.
  • Occasionally answers BCS Parts phones and directs calls to appropriate person.
  • Has general understanding of BCS POS system for inventory control and customer inquiries.

30% Provides support to other BCS departments

  • Stock BCS Parts refrigerator.
  • Assists with loading, unloading and storing product for other departments at BCS.
  • Delivers mail, boxes etc. to employees.
  • Assists Accounting with Purchase Orders.
  • Training setup and teardown.

20% Delivery, Warehouse and Fleet Maintenance

  • Delivers parts to BCS Parts customers as required.
  • Executes BCS building maintenance schedule Fisher’s cleaning as required.
  • Picks up parts for BCS Parts as required.
  • Maintains the interior and exterior of Parts truck to be presentable to customers.
  • Maintains clean, neat, and organized parts, staging area and service warehouse.
  • Coordinates with delivery and pickup of BCS vehicles as needed.
  • Approves vehicle maintenance over specified approved amounts.
  • Assists with vehicle tracking log, keys, KTAGS and gas cards, as needed.
  • Coordinates with car dealers and service providers, as needed.
  • Makes recommendations to HR team based on mileage, maintenance history and overall condition of vehicle.


Experience and Requirements  
Education

  • High School education or equivalent.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects and duties simultaneously
  • Strong work ethic and ability to stay productive with minimal direction
  • Ability to communicate well with others.
  • Strong problem solving ability.
  • Organized with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Mathematical abilities to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and create and interpret graphs.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Valid driver license
  • Current forklift license 

Other Requirements

  • Requires travel to and from job sites, primarily within the local area and Kansas
  • Personal appearance and uniform will consist of safe and comfortable attire that also represents BCS and BCS Parts in a high professional standard.

Training and development

  • Stays current on accounting and inventory software
  • Completes continuing education as needed


Physical Requirements

  • Requires sitting and walking on a frequent basis; standing, bending, climbing, balancing, twisting, and reaching with hands and arms on an occasional basis.
  • Requires the ability to carry, lift, move or push up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and may be required to carry, lift, move or push 100 pounds or more occasionally. Must be able to talk and listen to others and uses hands or fingers to handle of feel on a regular basis. Frequent use of manual dexterity and visualization of a computer screen through the day. Requires ability to see up close and distant, distinguish colors, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment

  • This position regularly works in an office setting and on job sites in all types of indoor and outdoor conditions including near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places, extreme heat, cold and humidity. Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic fumes or chemicals. Regular noise levels range from moderate to very loud when visiting job sites.
  • Most of the job duties require the employee to be working on HVAC equipment in close quarters. Most testing is done with the equipment operating, creating noise and air movement. Many of our customer facilities have unfavorable environmental conditions. Many job duties require the employee to work with computers and electronic media on a regular basis.
