LHB Industries is currently seeking a Warehouse Coordinator with 5 years experience in a previous role in a manufacturing environment. JOB SUMMARY:
Works independently with limited direction from Warehouse Supervisor.  Coordinates daily warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving.  Handles basic maintenance of the department and reports larger projects to the Maintenance group.  Duties include but are not limited to: Review current sales orders and create pick tickets for the warehouse team. Reports issues or special shipping requirements to warehouse supervisor. Creates all BOL’s and other shipping / receiving documents including those for hazmat and export shipments. Enter appropriate information into customer portals, schedule LTL and full truckload shipments, as well as UPS and FedEx shipments.  Responsible for making sure that all outgoing orders are shipped out accurately and in a timely manner. Will receive and enter documents into the LHB software system. Direct warehouse personnel for any shipping / picking needs. Assist Material Handlers with order picking and loading as needed. Works to train new employees or temporary help as needed. Demonstrates and promotes LHB’s values.

QualificationsREQUIRE SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE:
- Good computer skills.
- Good mathematical skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- UPS/FedEx procedures and software
- Hazardous Material shipping.
- Ability to lead and coordinate the work of others.
- Forklift experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 4 years warehouse /forklift truck operation experience

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Process Safety Management, per 29 CRF 1910.119
- DOT HAZMAT Training, per 49 CFR 172.704(a)
- Hazardous Waste Management Procedures, per 40 CFR 265.16
- Fork Truck Training and License, per 29 CFR 1910.178

About Lighthouse for the Blind - St. Louis

Lighthouse for the Blind is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a socio-economic mission to provide employment and support services for adults and children who are legally blind.

The Lighthouse manufactures, fills, and packages a diverse line of products for the U.S. Government and commercial customers. the Lighthouse holds government contracts covering over 200 products. Our product mix includes Aerosol Cleaners, Bio-based Cleaners, Liquid Cleaners, Office Cleaners, Maintenance Products, Repellent, Paints and Coatings, and large-scale Medical first aid kits. Our customers include Defense Logistics Agency, the United States Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA), General Services Administration (GSA), the U.S. Forest Service, and the U.S. Postal Service. We have extensive lab facilities, and to our knowledge, we are the only aerosol manufacturing facility in the world operated primarily by blind individuals.

To broaden our customer base and provide additional employment opportunities to the blind community, the Lighthouse initiated a strategy to acquire assets of commercial companies. Between 2014 and 2018, the Lighthouse acquired four commercial brands – Quake Kare®, Tear Mender®, RapidFix®, and Badge Magic®/CosBond®.

Proceeds from product sales contribute to 23 community outreach programs that provide assistance and support to children and adults who are visually impaired in Missouri and Western Illinois. Our “See the Future” outreach programs assist students in the areas of technology adaptations, activities of daily living skill development, scholarships to educational and recreational camps including Camp Barnabas in Purdy, MO, and Space Camp in Huntsville, AL, and a mobile low vision clinic for children.
