About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. With the two mines within the district, Island Gold and Magino employ over 900 team members who work in the underground and open pit operations and are located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. /Purpose:

Responsible for managing issuing of materials through reservations, counter service and month end procedures for mill and underground departments. Ensuring receiving, inventory counts, and shipping of items are preformed efficiently and accurately according to policies and regulations. Mentor team as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate duties to ensure that material flows from the warehouse to end users for all departments.

  • Manage daily reservations requests and escalate any shortages to buyer/expedite to follow up on delivery dates

  • Cataloguing of spare parts and consumable items in SAP

  • Coordinate stock transfers to underground warehouse.

  • Coordinate work for Warehouse Clerk and U/G Warehouse Attendant as required.

  • Assist with annual inventory counts as required

  • Assist when possible, with daily unloading of trucks with forklift and receiving items.

  • Coordinate repairs to be shipped out for repairs or warranty

  • Recognizes areas of improvement and offers suggestions for continuous improvement

  • Assist with special projects in the warehouse as required.

  • List the primary duties and responsibilities in order of importance

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • High-school graduation with related post-secondary training
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience,
  • Knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures and regulations required
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate required
  • Knowledge of mining equipment and parts preferred
  • Must be able to operate forklifts or other equipment as required.
  • Highly organized with exception attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills together with an ability to facilitate commitment to a cooperative team effort.
  • Good communication skills, both orally and written with both internal and external contacts and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.

Working Conditions:

  • 7 days on at site x 7 days off rotational work schedule

  • This is a physically demanding job where the incumbent is required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, do repetitive tasks with few breaks, and so forth.

Salary Range $54,250-88,750

Flights and lodging provided while at the mine site
