Job Description

Dairy Farmers of America is looking for highly dependable team player to join our staff as WAREHOUSE CONTROL SPECIALIST at our Mechanicsburg, PA facility. The role of the Warehouse Control Specialist is to help coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, perform inventories and maintaining accurate records both written and electronic in support of day-to-day operations

​Shift: Night Shift (6pm-6:30am) Thursday, Friday and Saturday with an occasional pre scheduled Sunday. Work three 12 hours shifts, get paid for 40 hours.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Close communication with key plant personnel related to outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Perform month end inventories of product and packaging in a timely manner with reconciliation of inventories.
  • Ensure all product is shipped to outside warehouses in a timely manner and inventories sent to customers.
  • Ensure inventory of outside warehouse is reconciled at the end of each month.
  • Responsible for entries in SAP computer system.
  • Ensure FIFO is being maintained.
  • Unloading trucks as needed using Powered Industrial Trucks.
  • Communicate as required with truck drivers, customers, vendors and suppliers in a professional manner.
  • Expected to function as an engaged employee and contribute to the site’s continuous improvement efforts.
  • Follow all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-year prior warehouse experience required.
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification
  • Must be PC literate; Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Good math aptitude requires attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple situations at one time.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality.Must be able to read, write and speak English
