Job Description

General Purpose

Perform a variety of senior-level clerical and operational duties in the warehouse. This may include coordination of inbound/outbound shipments, performing inventories, and maintaining accurate records both written and electronic in support of day-to-day operations. Serve as a resource to others inside and outside of the warehouse and perform assignments determined necessary by the team or management to ensure team success.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide regular communication with key plant or location personnel related to outbound and inbound shipments
  • Perform month-end inventories of product in a timely manner with reconciliation of inventories
  • Ensure all product is shipped to outside warehouses in a timely manner and BOL are sent to customers
  • Ensure inventory of cooler is reconciled at the end of each month
  • Make entries in appropriate computer system(s)
  • Ensure first-in, first-out (FIFO) is being maintained
  • Unload trucks as needed using Powered Industrial Trucks
  • Communicate as required with truck drivers, customers, vendors and suppliers in a professional manner
  • Function as an engaged employee and contribute to the site’s continuous improvement efforts
  • Follow all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements

Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years warehouse or related experience
  • Certification and/or License – must have or be able to obtain forklift certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
  • Able to respond courteously and efficiently to inquiries, complaints, and requests
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work with accuracy and detail oriented
  • Able to follow directions and meet deadlines
  • Able to problem solve, multi-task and prioritize own work activities
  • Able to perform tasks and duties without constant supervision
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
