Job Summary

• Makers Pride is looking for a dynamic Warehouse Clerk who will have a positive impact on the operations team.
• As a Warehouse Clerk you will perform shipping duties for the plant, including scheduling, tagging products and maintaining an organized warehouse.

What you’ll be doing:

• Checking in drivers
• Operating forklifts
• Checking Purchase Orders
• Scheduling trucks for loading/unloading
• Preparing shipping documents and entering data on a daily basis
• Maintain records of all products and orders
• Verify Seals on trucks
• Maintain customer shipment files
• Maintain Open communications with Corporate Customer Service to maximize shipments and minimize problems
• Work with Plant General Manager and Supervisors to establish load out and shipment schedules and keep them informed on orders (distribute copies, etc.)
• Coordinate containers, export documents and shipping documents for export shipments
• Maintain good relationship with the trucking companies
• Perform other duties assigned

What you’ll need:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Mathematical Skills
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Reasoning Ability
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Computer Skills
• Ability to use PICK system and basic windows operation of Word and Excel and GroupWise email system.

Starting Pay: Logistic Clerk I $18.05/hr. a shift differential is offered for 2nd Shift opportunities. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90th day of employment.
