Job Description

of Position

Reporting to the Purchasing and Inventory Manager, the Warehouse Clerk will replenish stock inventory, provide primary customer counter support, handle all incoming freight, warehouse housekeeping, and assist in all warehousing activities such as stocking, cleaning and perform buying duties when necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities

Functions include but are not limited to those shown below, in addition to any duties assigned to a Warehouse Clerk by the Purchasing and Inventory Manager:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support Orchards customers at the counter and answer phones.
  • Offload and check-in all vendor deliveries
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (unload, label, store)
  • Maintain warehouse inventory, organizing, re-stocking, FIFO and report any discrepancies.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • Use safe practices and principles working around the warehouse and shops.
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)

Additional Functions

  • Forklift Daily Inspections
  • Fuel Island Maintenance

These duties are basic and routine within the department and they are accomplished with scripted instructions, guidelines, and practices. There is little to none independent discretion. This fits to S1

Qualifications Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required
  • Basic Knowledge in Fleet Focus recommended
  • Basic knowledge on ag equipment and fleet trucks recommended

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Troubleshooting

  • Exhibit great customer service skills.
  • Support Continuous Improvement activities to improve overall performance.

  • Microsoft Office Programs
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:

  • Forklift Certification preferred but not required.

Pay Range: $20.00-$20.50. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
