Position : Warehouse Automation Control & Application Specialist
Reporting to : Network Optimization Program Director
Location : Shimotsuma, Ibaraki, Japan
& Job Description
Analyze, maintain, upgrade and improve all automation control and processes in the facility to deliver
stable system with high reliability. Support continuous improvement of processes. Lead the
optimization or project to adjust processes to new requirement, production process improvements
and change in market circumstance or requirement. Support plant operations on critical trouble
shooting of equipment stops and breakdowns.
• Analyze plant and material flow processes, design and implement improvement.
• Learn, qualify, transfer knowledge from machine vendor to become processes and control
trainer for in the factory.
• Lead new project implementation related to electrical and control of new equipment installation
and upgrade to provide input to design and ensure qualification of machine and people for successful
startup.
• Lead optimization of processes to meet change in business requirement, working with machine
vendor to develop solution.
• Trouble shooting issues with hardware, software (warehouse execution system) and processes.
• Maintain, update and monitor control system to ensure no interruption to factory operation.
• Making adjustment in control system by him/herself if required.

Required Language Proficiency: Japanese Native, English Business level (Optional)
Minimum years of Experience: 5 years+
Minimum Education Level: University graduate preferred, Associate’s degree in automation technology or
electrical engineering
• Strong cause-effect analytical ability, able to detect problems and implement solutions.
• Experienced in leading process or material flow improvement.
• Experienced in big scale ASRS and WH automation control programing or operation.
• Proven ability to attend to detail but also able look at big picture when necessary.
• Mechatronic Engineer is preferred
• Have basic knowledge of SAP ERP system preferred
• Strong in communication and collaboration skill.
• Fluent in Japanese language, requires communicating technical matter to machine vendor in Japanese
language.
• Have capacity to manage multiple demands whilst prioritising to deliver against immediate needs as well as
longer term programmes.
• Flexible working hour, primary working hour is day shift, however when necessary able to be on call or
attend to operation site when immediate problem rectification is required.
