Job Description

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring for a Warehouse Associate - Loose Freight Handler to support our distribution center in Oswego, IL. As a Warehouse Associate - Loose Freight Handler, you will work with a voice based sorting system and pallet jack to place customer orders on a pallet in the order that the voices system asks. Once the pallet is created, you will wrap the pallet to get it ready to load onto the trailer. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

Schedule and Compensation

  • Saturday, Sunday, and Monday - 5:00am to 5:30pm; starting pay $22.20 per hour
  • Eligible for a monthly bonus of up to $1.05 per hour

What to expect as a Warehouse Associate – Loose Freight Handler:

  • Process customer orders by manually breaking down pallets, stacking product onto pallets, and transporting completed pallets with the use of a pallet jack or forklift.
  • Confirm orders contain the correct number of products for shipment.
  • Review and verify label information by comparing the label on the product to its contents and placing the label in the appropriately area on the product.
  • Inspect inbound and outbound customer orders for damages.
  • This is a physically demanding job that will require you to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for the duration of a 10- or 12-hour shift.
