POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate II supports core warehouse operations including inventory processing, material

handling, records management, and facility organization. This role ensures the accurate intake, storage,

retrieval, and destruction of customer records while maintaining strict chain-of-custody and

confidentiality standards.

This position represents a skilled role within the warehouse job family and focuses on operational

execution, accuracy, and productivity in support of VRC’s service commitments.

This role includes authorized operation of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and may include authorized

operation of company vans to support route coverage, deliveries, or pickups when assigned. Employees

must maintain required equipment certifications. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are

required. This role is not classified as a DOT-regulated driving position.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Barcode and process incoming boxes and materials.
• Pull, refile, and consolidate customer inventory.
• Process materials scheduled for secure destruction.
• Perform bay consolidations and maintain organized storage locations.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and general facility upkeep.
• Utilize handheld scanners and inventory management systems.
• Meet established productivity, timeliness, and accuracy standards.
• Maintain strict customer confidentiality and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Assist team members and support operational needs.
• Follow all operational protocols.
• Maintain compliance with all facility safety procedures and OSHA standards.
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (forklifts, order pickers, electric pallet jacks) when certified and

authorized.

• Operate company vans to support route coverage, pickups, and deliveries when assigned.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensure customer materials are processed, stored, and retrieved accurately while meeting established

productivity standards.

Maintain accurate inventory records through disciplined scanning, labeling, and storage procedures.

Safeguard sensitive customer information by following chain-of-custody and confidentiality protocols.

Operational Support

Support warehouse team operations through collaboration, organization, and reliability.

EQUIPMENT AUTHORIZATION

Warehouse Associate II employees may operate powered industrial warehouse equipment and vans

only, including:

• Manual pallet jacks
• Hand trucks and non-powered material handling equipment
• Powered Industrial Trucks (certification required)
• Company vans

Employees in this role are not authorized to operate DOT-regulated Commercial Motor Vehicles

(CMVs) and are not classified as DOT-regulated drivers.

Employees may assist with loading, staging, preparing materials for transport, and operate company vans

to support coverage, but may not operate DOT-regulated vehicles unless properly trained, authorized, and

formally reclassified to a role approved for such vehicles. Advancement into driving roles requires

successful completion of required training, certification, and role reclassification.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Warehouse or material handling experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
• Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification required (certification offered upon hire)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
• Ability to follow established procedures and safety protocols
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic comfort with handheld technology and scanning devices
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English sufficiently to understand safety procedures,

follow written instructions, complete required documentation, and communicate with coworkers,

supervisors, and customers when necessary is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Frequent lifting of boxes weighing 40–50 pounds
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures
• Ability to access storage areas at heights up to 14 feet using approved non-powered access

methods

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Warehouse environment with exposure to typical operational noise and activity. Work may involve

temperature fluctuations and fast-paced productivity expectations tied to operational service levels.
