Commercial Pipe & Supply is looking for a dependable, safety-minded Warehouse Associate to join our Distribution team in Buffalo.
This is a hands-on role working primarily with pipe and tubular products. You’ll help keep our operation moving by safely receiving, storing, picking, and loading material while working with forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment.
What You’ll Do:
• Load and unload inbound and outbound pipe and material.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Pick, pack, and load customer orders.
• Receive incoming shipments and ensure products are stored in the correct locations.
• Verify shipping and receiving paperwork for accuracy.
• Label and organize pipe and other products throughout the warehouse and yard.
• Cut pipe to order specifications using a torch.
• Complete required equipment and forklift safety inspections.
• Assist Will Call customers and work with Inside Sales to complete orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and pipe yard.
• Follow all safety procedures and immediately report accidents, near misses, equipment damage, or safety concerns.
• Assist with additional warehouse responsibilities as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of forklift or similar equipment experience or a current forklift operator license.
• Ability to obtain required forklift certification.
• Strong commitment to working safely.
• Dependable and comfortable working in a hands-on, physical environment.
• Good attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
This is an active warehouse position that requires standing and walking for much of the workday, frequently getting on and off a forklift, bending, reaching, stooping, and kneeling. Team members must be able to safely lift or move up to 50 pounds.
