The Warehouse Associate 1 has the baseline skill set to process and execute step by step instructions with few errors. This role could be working in any area of the warehouse including, but not limited to receiving, picking, packing, pull down, put away, Inventory/Quality Control, and facilities. Depending on the specific role typical hours would be 9AM to 5:30PM with occasional mandatory overtime. This job primarily takes place in a large warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
Learn and completely understand the upstream and downstream impacts of the tasks you are asked to execute.
Works with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy.
Recognize and bring issues to light such as but not limited to product, paperwork, labeling, or other errors as well as product damage or expiration.
Maintain documentation and records of items pick and put away locations and/or quantities.
Meet schedules and timelines.
Maintain storage areas and warehouse equipment in a neat, clean, orderly and safe manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and ask questions when unclear on what to do.
Make accurate mathematical calculations.
Ability to understand and apply work methods that drive accuracy and speed.
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships.
Work effectively as a team member.
Comfortable with working against established goals and metrics.
Ability to work occasional over-time.
Ability to spend majority of time walking on hard floors.
Ability to work from an elevated platform, standing for long periods of time.
Ability to lifting, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
