Job Requisition: Warehouse Logistics Associate

Location: La Vergne, TN

Schedule: Mon – Thur | 5:45 AM – 4:15 PM

Pay Rate: $15.50

Abacus is hiring for a high-volume logistics facility in La Vergne handling HP electronics. We are seeking dependable team members for various general labor roles. Candidates must have a solid command of English for safety and production communication.

Department Assignments:

• Line Feed: Maintain production lines; requires pallet jack.

• Detrash & Segregation: Sort and discard non-working products; segregate materials by carton, plastic, and equipment type.

• Sorting & Scanning: High-speed scanning, system data entry, and palletizing items.

• Return Receiving: Scan returned items; open packaging to locate barcodes when necessary.

Site Requirements & Compliance:

• Communication: 75% English proficiency (speak, read, and understand).

• Environment: Non-climate-controlled warehouse but well ventilated; must be comfortable with seasonal temperatures.

• Security: Strict "No Electronics" policy (phones, smartwatches, tablets). Metal detector screening daily.

• Attendance Policy:

  • First 2 weeks: Zero call-outs.

  • First 90 days: Max one (1) call-out.

• Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire; permanent hire eligibility begins near 11 months.

• Disclosure: Candidates must disclose any prior FedEx facility work history immediately.

Onboarding Process:

1. Apply/Onboard: Complete application and digital paperwork.

2. Vetting: Complete professional screening/verification.

3. Office Visit: Visit the Smyrna office (105 Jefferson St) for Safety Evaluation and 3-minute oral swab drug screen.
