Warehouse Associate 1 contributes to the efficient operation of the warehouse by providing labor support to the Branch Office. Warehouse Associate 1 in this job performs a range of general and specific warehouse tasks that can be easily learned on the job such as receiving, stocking, assembling, staging, loading, and unloading products.
Essential Job Functions
• Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling);
• Stages finished product for loading;
• Check purchase orders/ work orders to ensure that products are correctly assembled and ready for delivery;
• Check items to ensure that the correct number of products are being assembled;
• Assists in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts;
• Load the finished product onto the truck;
• Unload products from trucks, containers, and stock them in the designated area;
• Responsible for quality control, ensuring that no damaged products are sent out, and no damaged products will be stored;
• Operate pallet jack within standard operating procedures;
• Perform preventive maintenance on palette jacks;
• Perform on-the-job training for new employees;
• Handle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations;
• Prepare customers’ orders for delivery;
• Provide fill-in support for other departments in the warehouse;
• Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
• High school diploma and/or equivalent experience
• Should be able to read, write and speak basic English.
• Should have basic computer skills.
