Overview

The Warehouse Manager contributes to the success of the Pepsi Beverages Company by ensuring product is available to meet customer needs while maintaining efficient inventory levels, minimizing waste, and protecting warehouse assets, to meet supply chain demands. The Warehouse Manager must convert departmental objectives into achievable tasks at the execution level. This individual must set warehouse/logistics performance standards and align the organization to achieve standards. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing union and non-union employees and developing a team of supervisors to build a talent bench for the organization. Additionally, this role is responsible for developing, implementing and executing a best in class service to sales standard.

Responsibilities

• Oversees inventory management and loading operations within a large plant and off-site Distribution Center
• Build Warehouse operational excellence though standardization of processes, capital execution, process and technology improvements, and strategic development of quarterly and annual objectives
• Leads Manufacturing and Warehouse processes through consistent product availability, warehouse productivity, national inventory program, asset preservation and reliability, and cost reduction while consistently meeting and exceeding quality assurance standards
• Responsible for local and downstream service fill rates on sourced products
• Build people capability through effective employee relations and coaching, hiring, training, and communication for both management and front-line hourly personnel
• Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for Plant and Distribution Center Warehouses; including managing labour, waste, building maintenance, materials & supplies among other items
• Ensures compliance with all Health and Safety regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 3 plus years of work experience in warehousing required
• 2 plus years work experience in a management position
• Experience in consumer package products or similar industry preferred
• Financial literacy through AOP planning and managing large P&Ls preferred
• Ability to develop Standard Operating Procedures
• Strong employee relations, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
• Strong computer skills and familiarization with SAP required
• Solid problem solving, planning, process
