
Perform all management tasks in the absence of the manager. Assists manager in planning and training. Also assists daily operations of assigned warehouse, outlet, and recycling center. Presents a professional image to set an example for staff. Plays an active role on management team. Will serve, at times, as “Supervisor in Charge” of entire facility. Must ensure that Easter Seals-Goodwill policies and procedures are uniformly enforced and followed. Cross-training required in all aspects of Goodwill.
Assistant Managers are expected to distance themselves from those they supervise, especially when they have been promoted from within. Model professional boundaries with staff, participants, and the public.
Supervises outlet and warehouse staff to ensure that goals are met. Responsible for assuring a high level of guest and donor service. Performs duties according to the established Best Practices of ESGW NRM. Assists with all retail and production operations to achieve maximum sales potential.
The Goodwill warehouse and outlet are subject to changing and unpredictable circumstances, especially regarding the ebb and flow of salvage and the need to efficiently move a significant volume of product through the outlet and recycling system. This position is expected to be responsive to these needs; showing initiative to accomplish the tasks at hand and being prepared to move between assignments as priorities change.
