Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Workshop Assistant/Delivery Driver to join our team.

People on Bicycles is a social enterprise getting more people to ride a bicycle. Your desire to make a difference and passion about all things bicycles starts here!

We are a small, dedicated team working in a fast paced environment that requires speed and accuracy.

The Warehouse Assistant/Delivery Driver will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring that bicycles and equipment are prepared, securely loaded, transported, delivered and picked-up, and providing support to the workshop team as needed.

The Warehouse Assistant/Delivery Driver sticks with tight schedules and makes our service provision look easy and seamless.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with their hands. A deep interst and love for bicycles is a bonus!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, loading, transport, delivery and pick-up of bicycles and equipment
  • Help to organize and maintain the workshop space
  • Provide support to workshop instructors and participants as needed
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of workshops and events
  • Help to ensure that all workshop activities are conducted safely and in accordance with established procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Workshop Manager

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a workshop or similar environment preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Current Driver's Licence and experience driving a trailer essential
