Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Warehouse Assistant to join our Delivery Services team in a full-time permanent role.

This is a hands-on warehouse position suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, handling furniture products with care, and ensuring orders are prepared accurately and efficiently for dispatch.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will play an important role in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling, preparation, and dispatch of furniture items, while adhering to production schedules and safety protocols. Experience within warehousing, logistics, furniture handling, or manufacturing environments is highly regarded, however training can be provided for the right candidate with a strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

This role offers stable full-time hours: Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 2:06pm

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Accurately pick furniture for delivery according to schedules to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
  • Prepare and verify all dispatch documentation.
  • Assist in collecting, storing, and organising furniture and materials
  • Ensure all inventory movements are accurately recorded.
  • Identify and report any damages, defects, or order discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist in implementing and adhering to quality control measures.
  • Assist with general duties, including assembly, cleaning, and equipment maintenance, as required.
  • Perform in line with quality assurance standards, WH&S regulations and company policies

Required skills:

  • Current Forklift licence is required
  • Previous experience working within warehousing or dispatch environments
  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders
  • Commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with WHS regulations and safe work practices
  • Physically fit, reliable, and capable of manual handling and lifting duties as required
  • Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle required to travel to and from work each day
