Warehouse Assistant
Reports to: General Manager
Objective: To provide internal support primarily in the warehouse to the Janitorial and Project teams with the focus to ensure that all items necessary for these teams to perform their duties as on hand and ready in a timely manner. To assist with the general maintenance and observe needs throughout the building and grounds to help insure a safe and clean work environment.
Supplies:
· Filling supply orders · Maintain a clean and orderly inventory cage · Ensure that all cleaning supplies are kept in stock
Laundry:
· Wash, dry, and return laundry daily before 3:30pm· Keep laundry room clean and organized· Ensure laundry supplies are stocked and ordered as needed
Warehouse Organization:
· Police inside of warehouse daily to put away any misc. items that are not in their proper place· Maintain a clean warehouse floor-dust mop weekly or as needed.· Help develop improvements in where chemicals, equipment, and supplies are stored.· Help develop systems for all who use the warehouse to put items in their proper place
- Take trash to the landfill once a week
Errands/Deliveries:
· Weekly pick-up and delivery of janitorial supplies and laundry as assigned from stores and vendors
Office and Building Care:
· In general, observe the warehouse, laundry· Assist with office grounds maintenance as direct by office manager· Inspect sidewalks and entry areas for branches, water, and snow. Snow blow as needed.
Equipment:
· Inspect broken equipment that has been delivered to buildings
(a) If possible, repair the equipment within 48 hours
(b) Help organize broken and repaired equipment, so everyone knows the status of each item
Vehicles:
· Check vehicles on a rotating basis to ensure that all lights are in good working order and that the interior of the vehicle is clean. Report any irregularities to Operation Manager & Administration or Owner· Ensure vehicles are cleaned on a weekly basis· Complete weekly inspections
Continuous Improvement:
· Provide ideas and assistance on any warehouse organization / support which could be improved to make the Warehouse Manager Job easier and or improve the systems and productivity of both the Janitorial and Project employees.
Other Duties as Assigned
Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
