Your Role:

We are looking for a Warehouse and Product Distribution Section Head who will be responsible for leading and overseeing all warehouse and product distribution operations for both Plant 1 (Lens) and Plant 2 (Lens and Packaging Materials). The role ensures the efficient management of inbound and outbound logistics, inventory storage, material handling, and distribution activities while maintaining high standards of inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management

  • Leads and drives warehouse operations to achieve all KPI targets.
  • Develops and drives warehouse operational capabilities to meet growing demand, increasing product complexity, and evolving technologies.
  • Implements and supports new procedures, Management of Change (MOC) initiatives, and process improvements as required.
  • Drives operational excellence through continuous improvement.

People Management

  • Identifies, develops, and retains high-potential employees within the department.
  • Determines developmental and training plans for direct reports and ensure the appropriate development of key personnel.
  • Develops the organizational structure and oversee the recruitment of staff as needed.

Freight Management

  • Monitors freight costs on a weekly and monthly basis through invoice verification, and challenge discrepancies when appropriate.
  • Monitors Certificate of Origin (COO) processing and ensure there are no delays resulting from internal processes.
  • Ensures the timely submission of freight billing invoices to GBS.
  • Monitors freight forwarders' service levels in terms of lead time, cost, documentation accuracy, damage control, and adherence to instructions.
  • Ensures that the correct shipping documentation accompanies each shipment as required.
  • Investigates and resolves customs-related issues with PEZA and the Bureau of Customs.
  • Optimizes documentation processes wherever possible to minimize financial risk to the company and its customers.

Safety and Company Policy Management

  • Enforces the Company's Code of Conduct and issue Notices to Explain (NTE) and recommend Disciplinary Actions (DA) when necessary.
  • Ensures strict compliance with all safety policies and requirements mandated by EH&S, and participates in the development and implementation of corrective action plans for safety audit findings.
  • Drives the team's compliance with EHS training requirements.
  • Promotes and ensures the consistent implementation of the 5S program within warehouse operations.

Cost Management

  • Manages and controls the budget of warehouse cost centers.
  • Drives cost-saving initiatives and projects that positively impact manufacturing variance and overall operational efficiency.

A Portrait of a Perfect Candidate

· Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.

· 5-10 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations.

· At least 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

· Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, preferably MFG Pro and Oracle.

· Understanding of inventory management, customs regulations, transportation, and freight operations.

· APICS certification or knowledge is an advantage.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

· Results-oriented with the ability to drive change and continuous improvement.
