Job Description

Inventory management – Asist in major project to reorganize Odessa inventory and implement control process. Cost control / efficiency gains / lead -time improvement / communication and process alignment with shared resources at Rockford.

  • Inventory Gate Keeper – Oversee Odessa trigger report as needed to manage safety stock (oversee program of consumables and stock process like Rockford repair consumables). Efficiency gain reduces time seal repair personnel are looking for parts
  • Cycle Counter -perform routine stock checks so that entire inventory is counted once per quarter. This will assure inventory is accounted properly in SAP system. Cost control measure / improve lead-time
  • Document Control – new inventory posted to orders – nothing to be placed or shipped unless properly accounted – Cost reduction and control measure

Additional Duties – (reducing daily tasks that are performed by customer service taking them away from primary objectives to service customers and meet lead – time expectations required to grow the business)

  • Daily operations duties would include – incoming mail, checks to be sent to bank for processing, assists invoice and records filing and/or locating.
  • Purchasing – duties would include items required for office, repair, and machine shop
  • Assist Rockford Shared services - any accounting, purchasing, or customer service emails/questions required for (Rockford) to complete processing

EDUCATION

  • High School Graduate or GED required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1-year warehouse, assembly, or production experience; and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required.
  • Must have prior experience or knowledge of mechanical seals or pumps, a plus but not required.
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required.

SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must have attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to occasionally lift objects between 0 – 50 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to occasionally team lift / hoist objects over 51 lbs.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
