About the Role

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for tasks essential to the smooth operation of the warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfilment, quality control, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, ensuring safety compliance, and facilitating efficient shipping and receiving processes.

Your role will involve, but is not limited to:

• Inventory Management: Accurately maintaining inventory records, tracking stock levels, and conducting regular stock checks. Maintain bin locations with accurate items. Maintain a daily rolling stocktake (RST).
• Order Fulfilment: Efficiently picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Quality Control: Inspecting products for damage, defects, and adherence to quality standards.
• Loading and Unloading: Safely operating material handling equipment to load and unload goods from trucks and containers.
• Warehouse Organisation: Arranging products logically and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
• Data Entry: Accurately recording information related to despatch, inventory, and other warehouse operations.
• Coordinating Deliveries: Collaborating with other departments and coordinating with transportation services for timely deliveries.
• Communication: Effectively communicating within the warehouse team and with other departments for the seamless flow of goods and information.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to inventory, deliveries, and safety procedures.
• Customer Service: Providing excellent service when dealing with customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues related to orders and deliveries

About You

• Current Drivers Licence and Forklift Licence
• Prior Warehouse experience preferred.
• Computer literacy
• Manual handling experience
• Capacity to move and lift 25kg
