Job Description

Newrest is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Agent to support daily warehouse operations.

The role duties include movement and breaking down of pallets of supply goods, order preparations for distribution and inventory control of food items.

Compliance with HACCP regulations, safety and security requirements and execution of the FEFO principal in support of other Newrest departments is a must for the chosen candidates.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Receive, unload, inspect and properly store deliveries in accordance with company procedures
  • Organize stock in coolers, freezer and dry storage using FEFO principle
  • Pick, prepare, and deliver orders to internal departments
  • Maintain accurate inventory records when completing orders in the Winrest system
  • Perform temperature, quality and expiry checks to ensure product compliance
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized warehouse environment at all times
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely (pallet jacks, forklift, carts)

Qualifications

  • Have reached the age of 20
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual warehouse work over 12-hour shifts
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned daily tasks
  • Communicative level of English (spoken and written)
  • Report operational issues to Supervisor or Managers
  • Valid driving license
  • Forklift license is an advantage

Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role (minimum 2 years preferred)
  • High level of understanding of warehouse processes and tight inventory control
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment

Additional Information

  • Understanding of FEFO and HACCP is required
  • Communicative level of Icelandic is a plus
  • Clean criminal background check according to Icelandic airport regulations and certificate of health for working in a food processing facility.
