Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Waitstaff to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be adept at providing exceptional guest experiences, managing multiple tasks efficiently, and upholding the highest standards of service and cleanliness. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth restaurant operations and fostering a positive dining environment for all patrons. Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and escort them to their tables, providing an exceptional first impression.
  • Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations with a positive and knowledgeable demeanor.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all details are captured for efficient preparation and delivery.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Manage multiple tables and guest requests simultaneously, demonstrating excellent multitasking and time management skills.
  • Process payments accurately using the Point of Sale system, including cash handling and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of dining areas, service stations, and restrooms to ensure a sanitary environment.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure seamless service flow and address any guest needs.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Contribute to overall restaurant operations by assisting with opening and closing duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English language for clear communication with guests and colleagues.
  • Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • General knowledge of food services and menu offerings.
  • Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Understanding of sanitation protocols within a food service setting.
  • Possession of a valid Food Handler's Card.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food preparation or assisting kitchen staff.
  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Proven ability to maintain cleanliness and uphold high sanitation standards.
  • A consistently positive attitude and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in sales or upselling menu items.
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations and management principles.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • General mathematics skills for accurate order and payment processing.
  • Experience in greeting customers and managing guest flow.
