PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To ensure the effective delivery of in-room dining services to guests of the hotel in line with brand standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Grade 12.
• 1 year experience in a restaurant operation as a waiter within a 4* or 5* hotel and restaurant practice.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide personalized guest service based on preferences and ensure an ever-lasting bond is created with guests.
• Maintain a friendly attitude, welcome, and acknowledge each guest with a smile and a friendly verbal greeting in line with the sequence of service.
• Document orders, repeat items back to callers to ensure accuracy and quote expected arrival time with speed and accuracy.
• Promptly answer room service calls, announce any specials, promote menu items, and answer questions regarding preparation methods.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Process payments accurately; handle cash, credit cards, and electronic payments as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the duty station before the end of each shift in accordance with the standards.
