Eureka 89 is the stunning events and dining space on the top floor of Eureka Tower in Melbourne. We host a wide variety of events - corporate lunches, dinners or cocktail parties, media launches, private milestone celebrations and weddings. We also operate a Chef's Tasting dining room, open to the public throughout the week.

About You

Our Waiters are responsible for the general presentation of the restaurant/events space, as well as welcoming and seating guests, taking guest orders, communicating effectively with the kitchen, memorising the menus and offering recommendations to upsell add-ons (such as drinks and side plates). In this role, not only will you service guests for our Altitude dining experience and 6-course chef's tasting menu, but also work on events, from weddings to corporate lunches.

The ideal candidate will have fine-dining experience and be flexible to work casually across, and up to, seven days a week. Bartending and cocktail-making experience will be highly favoured.

Requirements

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate of Completion (required)
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate (required)
  • Fine-dining experience
  • Excellent food and beverage knowledge
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to create, develop and service techniques for various guest needs
  • Ability to work under pressure, set priorities and provide a high level of customer service
  • A collaborative style with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Working rights in Australia
