The Role at a Glance

The Wage Agency Instructor instructs the TEEX Bleeding Control/Stop the Bleed course, Kata in the Classroom, and Career Exploration presentations. This position is responsible for utilizing knowledge of juvenile learning styles to maximize learner success and ensuring the overall effectiveness of the course instruction. The Wage Agency Instructor performs classroom and field instruction and/or provides technical assistance and uses a variety of media to present course material and assist in modifying and/or updating curriculum content, when necessary, to meet learners’ needs. This position is located in Corpus Christi, Texas.

This position reports to the Program Manager.

Qualifications of the Role

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of related experience in teaching youth education or a related field to include experience in First Aid.
  • Must have current or former experience as an EMR, EMT, Paramedic, Fire Fighter, Law Enforcement Officer, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician’s Assistant, or MD/DO.
  • Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Must have a valid CPR Instructor certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Must reside in Nueces County, Texas.

Equivalency: Will consider four years of related experience (Listed Above) with a High School Diploma/GED. Must have current or former experience as an EMR, EMT, Paramedic, Fire Fighter, Law Enforcement Officer, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician’s Assistant, or MD/DO.
