The Intern will work closely with the coaching staff and support staff to ensure efficient daily operations while gaining practical experience in all aspects of collegiate basketball.

Primary Responsibilities:

On-Court Support

  • Assist coaches with daily practice setup and execution.
  • Support individual player development workouts as assigned.
  • Operate practice equipment, manage drills, and assist with station organization.
  • Rebound, pass, and provide on-court support during workouts.
  • Assist with pregame warmups and other basketball-related activities.

Video & Analytics

  • Break down practice and game film using team video software.
  • Create player and team edits for coaches and athletes.
  • Assist with opponent scouting reports through video analysis.
  • Tag and organize game film for future evaluation.
  • Support postgame film review by identifying offensive and defensive trends.
  • Assist with statistical analysis and advanced game metrics.

Game Day Responsibilities

  • Assist with bench organization and game-day logistics.
  • Support real-time in-game charting and statistical tracking.
  • Provide live observations and analytical feedback to coaching staff during games.
  • Help prepare halftime and postgame information for coaches.
  • Assist with opponent tendencies and situational analysis.

Basketball Operations

  • Assist with practice planning and daily preparation.
  • Maintain organization of basketball equipment and video resources.
  • Help coordinate team workouts and scheduling as assigned.
  • Support recruiting visits and basketball-related events when appropriate.
  • Complete additional projects assigned by the coaching staff.

  • Represent LSU Men's Basketball with professionalism and integrity.
  • Demonstrate exceptional work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding team information.
  • Be proactive in identifying ways to improve daily operations.
  • Communicate effectively with coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
  • Exhibit a willingness to learn and contribute in all areas of the program.
  • Operate with a team-first mentality while supporting the culture and standards of LSU Men's Basketball.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with one year of related experience or student-athlete at the collegiate level or professional level.
