The Role
The WA South Coast Threatened Birds Project Support will work collaboratively with the
Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) South Coast Fauna Recovery
Project Team, the South Coast Threatened Birds Recovery Team and Friends of the Western Ground
Parrot to improve conservation outcomes for the WA’s South Coast Threatened Birds including
Western Ground Parrot, Noisy Scrub-bird, Western Bristlebird and Western Whipbird. Specifically,
the Project Support will contribute to strategic planning and implementation of recovery efforts for
these species.

What you need to know:
This is a full-time position (1 FTE), on a fixed-term contract until December 2027. The position is based in Albany. Substantial travel to remote field sites and for meetings with stakeholders will be required throughout the project.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
