This entry level role is ideally suited to those that are looking to commence an exciting and rewarding career in the onshore Oil and Gas industry that includes gaining qualifications and the ability to progress within the Australian operations.
Responsibilities
• Provide day to day support to the crew and field leadership as required.
• Provide support with all cleaning, maintenance and required labour as directed
• Provide assistance to the crew and Driller – filling up water gots, preparing equipment as required, obtaining items from other areas, assisting with operations as requested.
• Maintain areas of responsibility in clean, tidy and safe condition
• Assist in movement of equipment about the rig and between the rig and transport loads
• Assist with cuttings, waste management and mixing fluids offline as required.
• Assist Crane Operations.
• Assist the drilling crew as directed in measurement, labelling and recording detail of casing and drill pipe
• Assist drill crew as directed in rigging up, rigging down and running of blow out prevention (BOP) stack
• Perform relieving duties on the drill floor as required
• Assist Crew with maintenance of rig equipment and tubulars as directed
• All other lease-based, house-keeping and manual labour activities as required.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
• Unrestricted manual driver's license (essential)
• Heavy Industry, Manual Laboring or Trade Background (essential)
• Previous Mining / Oil & Gas FIFO experience (preferred)
• Working knowledge of basic knots, splices, wire line sling handling and general rigging practices.
• Ability to successfully pass a 'remote work' or 'offshore' Safer Together medical
Desirable Qualifications - but not necessary.
• CPR
• Senior First Aid
• 4x4 Operate Vehicles in the Field
• Breathing Apparatus
• Confined Space Training
• Gas Testing and Monitoring
• Working At Heights
